Galvanic tinning of workpieces
High-quality corrosion protection and versatile application possibilities
In electro-tinning, a thin layer of tin is applied to the surface of the workpieces. The special feature of tin-plated surfaces is their excellent electrical conductivity, which is why tin-plated workpieces and components are particularly suitable for applications in the electrical industry. In addition, tin has better solderability compared to other finishes. On the other hand, while the aesthetics are more appealing with nickel plating, for example, tin can still be used to produce a smooth, uniform surface, which may be desirable in certain applications such as electronic components.
